iamsecure.info is an email content security cloud service (SaaS) that guarantees the confidentiality of both senders and responses from recipients. Don't let emails containing confidential information put your organisation's business and assets at risk.

USE CASES

Banking, Financial Services, & Insurance

With many phishing attempts going on every day, it is important to be aware that an email is indeed from your bank or other financial service. Scammers are very advanced these days and millions of banking clients fall foul of these scams, costing the banks millions in investigations and reimbursing customers who are covered by fraud insurance. It would cost your financial institution much less to prevent such losses at the start. Iamsecure.info can provide you with a service to ensure that your clients are aware that the correspondence is from you and can sign and return documents safely in the knowledge that they haven’t given their details to a scam artist. Your insurance premiums would be lessened with this added layer of protection and there would be less need for investigations. The same can be done for insurance companies who send their clients documents via email. These preventions will keep your clients happy in the knowledge that your company is protecting their personal information.

Medical & Healthcare Information

Medical records are just as important to keep private and confidential as financial records. There are many ways in which Iamsecure.info can help your medical centre, hospital or other health institute with data protection. From encrypting client records, sending out results or invitations to attend appointments with the ability to read the enclosed information, sign and return without anyone else being able to read the documents. This can also be set up for data sharing between departments, for example if the X-ray department needs to share the X-ray information with an orthopedic surgeon, it can be sent securely interdepartmentally. Or if a patient has moved doctors surgery and the new GP needs to see their previous medical history before making a diagnosis, it could be done so without the wait time of the past, sending physical documents via secured delivery companies.

Utility Billing

Utility billing is now rapidly moving to online platforms and email to save postage overheads and the environmental impact of paper usage. Your company can make use of ensuring that the billing process is complete in a safe way for your clients. There are many phishing scams whereby the scammer purports to be the utility company requesting an extra payment or telling the customer that they have been overcharged and are due a refund and if they click on a link it will take them to the refund centre, which is an incredibly accurate replica of the utility company website. Iamsecure.info can work with your company to design the best way to protect your clients, via encrypted billing or OTP’s for return correspondence. Whatever your company and client needs are, we have a solution.

School & Educational Institutes

Keeping our children safe is any parents number one priority. Years ago children would be sent home with a letter for their parents in their bag, but in modern times parents are kept informed using emails and other online contact platforms by schools. Emails can often contain personal and sensitive information. Ensure your school or educational institute is seen to be protecting the future generations with a personalised package for your schools needs. This can be from emailing grading and exam information by secured email attachments, to making sure that parents are aware of an incident that has taken place by requiring a confirmation of receipt signature along with the secured encrypted document. Iamsecure.info can work with you on a personalised package for your requirements.

Proposals, Quotation & Invoicing

If your business sends out proposals, quotes or invoices, these too would benefit from the protection offered by Iamsecure.info. For example; In the construction and architecture world it is incredibly important to keep intellectual property secure. When sending out a proposal or design plan to clients, ensuring that no one else can access or appropriate your ideas is imperative to the future of your business. A client may innocently forward your quote or design looking for a cheaper offer and in doing so is sharing your intellectual property. Iamsecure.info can create a protected format to prevent your proposals and costing being forwarded, as the recipient would not be able to open the attachment. As well as this option, we can protect your business and clients details using encrypted email, attachments, creating OTP’s, or any other need your business may have.

Law enforcement & Government agencies

Police and other government agencies correspond with victims and clients in the same way that most companies correspond with their clients; via email. Now imagine that a police department has sent out an email containing the details of the crime and the victim's details including name, address, contact phone number, and this information being hacked and falling into the wrong hands. Many criminals will pay a lot of money to prevent witnesses going to trial and would not hesitate to attempt to hack email correspondence. With iamsecure.info, the victim and witness details can be protected and prevent government agencies facing embarrassing and often public investigations.

FAQs

Do you have any doubts? Review the most common questions from our customers.

What is iamsecure.info mail?
iamsecure.info provides crypto-security of email content that guarantees the confidentiality of both the senders and the responses returned by their recipients. This prevents emails containing confidential information being accessed, putting your organisation's business and assets at risk.
How does iamsecure.info mail work?
When you send an email through iamsecure.info, your mail client establishes a secure communication (SSL/TSL) with the Gateway or server sending the message through a secure channel. Even your ISP provider will not see what is being sent. Once the message reaches the server, iamsecure.info takes all the content of the mail and generates an encrypted PDF, including date, subject, body of the message, and even the attached files. All this operation is simple and transparent and does not require any additional steps. Your message has been sent and is encrypted so that only the recipient of the message can see it.
After generating the encrypted PDF with the content of the message, the recipient will receive an email containing the encrypted PDF as well as a link to the secure portal of iamsecure.info to obtain, via an OTP (One Time Password) algorithm and with HTTPS (the security protocol used for ecommerce), a password to view the message.
The recipient can respond safely, simply by clicking on the ‘reply’ or ‘respond’ link in the PDF. This will be accessed via HTTPS, a secure portal where they can write a reply, and even attach files. All without needing an account from iamsecure.info.
Does the recipient of a message sent through iamsecure.info also need to contract the service?
No. Only the sender of the message needs to have a paid iamsecure.info account. The recipient will receive an iamsecure.info account that will allow them to generate the passwords of the messages and respond to the emails safely.
What email clients is iam secure.info mail compatible with?
The sending of encrypted messages is compatible with any mail client that allows you to configure an SMTP server with SSL/TLS. For example; Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Live Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird, Mac Mail, iPad Mail, iPhone Mail and others.
Do you need a special program to view the encrypted messages?
No, it simply requires a PDF file viewer that supports ‘Owner Passwords’ or ‘Document open passwords’. There are many viewers, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader X which is free, or even some browsers come with viewers included. Some even work online, for example Gmail has a built-in Web viewer that supports these messages. You can also view the messages on mobile devices such as BlackBerry, iPhone, iPad or Android Smartphones.
Can you send attachments?
Yes, even they will also be encrypted within the secure PDF. Whoever receives the mail must have a viewer of PDF files compatible with PDF attachments, such as the Adobe Acrobat Reader X or the iBook for iPad and iPhone.
What if someone forwards a message?
When forwarding a message, it remains protected as the original message was converted to an encrypted PDF and only those who have the password can open it.
How does someone reply to a message?
Any recipient of a message sent through iamsecure.info will obtain a free account that will allow them to safely generate the passwords to view the messages that were sent to them and also to be able to respond to the messages in a secure and encrypted way.
When I send a message through iamsecure.info mail, how is it saved in my Outbox?
An unencrypted copy remains in your local folder as this task is performed on the iamsecure.info Gateway.
Does the recipient of an email have to be connected to the internet to see a message?
It is not necessary to always be online to see the mail. However, to open a message, the receiver requires a password which must be obtained at least for the first time on the iamsecure.info web portal. It is important to know that the receiver accesses this portal safely using the HTTPS or Secure-HTTP protocol, which is a combination of HTTP with SSL/TSL.
What algorithm are emails encrypted with?
All the content of the mail is encapsulated within a PDF, including the attachments, and the encryption is performed with 128-bit AES with passwords of variable length up to 20 bytes with an OTP algorithm.
How are the passwords of the messages generated?
iamsecure.info uses an OTP (One Time Password) algorithm, which uses a secret key generated completely randomly for each recipient of an email and counter generated for each message, then a Secure Hash algorithm (SHA256) is applied and the result is masked and transformed by a special Base32 function that makes the password readable.
Is it possible to crack or hack a password from an email sent from iamsecure.info?
There are programs on the internet that are called ‘pdf password crackers’, however all these programs try to obtain the password for ‘use or permissions’ of the pdf and not the one used by iamsecure.info, which is the ‘opening or owner’ password. These programs are not even able to open the PDF. .
Can iamsecure.info generate a password from an email if the user does not have it or has lost it?
No. Only the recipient of an email can generate the key to open a PDF, and if they forget their password to access the portal, it can be changed. iamsecure.info will not, however, be able to regenerate the password from previous messages. This is to avoid a third party being able to ‘crack’ and see the messages
Why does Adobe Acrobat not allow you to see certain files attached to the encrypted mail?
Adobe has decided as a protection mechanism to block access to files with a dangerous extension, such as ‘.exe’ or ‘.zip’. You can change these preferences in the ‘Adobe Trust Manager’ (more information on the Adobe site)
How can I view attachments on iOS (iPad or iPhone) ?
By default, iOS, whether iPad or iPhone, uses an application to view PDFs called ‘Preview’. This PDF viewer does not allow you to view the attached files, however you can use iBooks, which is already installed, or any other free application such as Adobe Reader. Long press on the PDF file and press ‘Open with’ and select iBooks.
How can I view attachments on Blackberry ?
Select the attachment, press ‘Menu’ -> Open Attachment. A message will appear indicating ‘Document protected by password’, accept this message and press ‘Menu’ -> Enter password.
How can I view attachments on MAC OS X ?
By default MAC OS X, in all its versions, uses an application to view PDFs called ‘Preview’. This PDF viewer does not allow you to view the attached files, you must download any free application such as Adobe Reader.

I want to be a reseller of insecure.info, what should I do?
We have special discounts for resellers. Send us an email to [email protected]telling us who you are and what you do.
For security reasons, my company or organisation wants to have its own insecure.info server, is it possible ?
We can provide you with personalised servers, even with more specific systems for sending passwords, such as:
1. Email password to Sender: A new email with the password will be sent to the person who composed the message so that they can then send it to you through another means (fax, telephone, etc.).
2. SMS to Recipient: By configuring the recipient's phones in the DB (or adding it to the subject of the message) the system will send the password to that phone.
3. OTP Portal: This is the web portal of iamsecure.info but with your Logo or name. It uses a One Time Password algorithm that is accessed through HTTPS.
4. Fixed Password: It can be configured so that each recipient has a fixed or defined password.
